Kütten, November 2009

Last Saturday I went out for a last occasion to shoot the autumn colors. I had the wide angle lens mounted as I realized the flock of birds coming from north and going fast to cross the rising sun.
Usually, photographing landscapes is a quite slow-going business with a lot of walking around, trying different perspectives and compositions, fitting filters and exposure values, looking at histograms etc.… This time, I had to be ready in seconds (putting on the telezoom and firing) and it was sheer luck that the result turned out quite good.
I know why I’m generally not a photographer of fast moving objects – it is too stressful.
